Wildfire - The Rebels

Stone. Cold.

This rare 7" from Wildfire is currently giving me goosebumps. Made in 1980 in Trinidad & Tobago, it's just one of those tunes that makes you realise why it's so exciting and rewarding to keep digging deep... And, it helps when you have a crew of like-minded friends doing exactly the same thng - this one was brought forward by Mr. Ru Warner.

I've said it before, and i'll say it again - the man has immaculate taste.

Charlie - Space Woman

This is pretty special. One to file in the Italo classics section, but still sounding so fresh and exciting - despite being nearly 30-years-old. The early 80's was such a unique time for synth-based progressive music; this was a whole new sound, made using different tools, but still with the essential focus on musical arrangement and composition. New digital technology combined with weighty analogue studio equipment to create magic - and this is just one example from that time.
